The brief
Lighting that could not be found everywhere.
For this boutique hotel in Ayvalık, the client was looking for lighting pieces that could not be found everywhere — something site-specific, distinctive, and far from standardised, mass-manufactured products.
Pendants · method
Each form discovers itself.
Using parametric design tools, we developed a family of ceramic pendants shaped through a controlled digital process — each piece naturally finds its own form. They belong to the same design language, but no two are exactly the same.
The video shows how a single pendant gradually arrives at its shape through this generative process.
Wall sconces · a new series
A woven surface, designed for this hotel.
Alongside the pendants, we developed a completely new series of wall sconces, designed specifically for this property. The woven-like ceramic surface becomes partially translucent, letting light pass through the body of the piece.
The result is a depth and softness that would be difficult to reach with conventional production — an aesthetic that belongs not only to the material, but to the way it is made.

Light passes through the surface.
The woven body is not a decorative finish — it is the part of the piece that does the work. It opens the surface enough for light to come through, and holds enough mass to keep the form structural.

Each piece is developed to contribute to the atmosphere of the hotel while keeping a single design identity across the rooms and the public areas.

A pendant overhead and a wall sconce on the wall — together they set the night-time character of each room.

Lobby staircase
A custom pendant cluster.
A cluster of pendants designed for the staircase — the vertical centre of the lobby — arranged so the pieces read both as one composition and as individuals.

Table lamps, same family.
Table lamps for the lobby seating, drawn from the same parametric language so the room sits inside one consistent atmosphere.
