Bespoke Ceramic Walls

We design and produce ceramic walls for hotels, restaurants and architectural projects, developing their form, texture and relationship with light around each space. At our Ankara studio, we combine computational design with 3D clay printing, drying and firing the printed pieces into ceramic.

Design begins with the space

We consider where a wall will sit, how it will receive light and how it will relate to the activities around it. Its form, openings, texture and rhythm develop from these questions.

An artistic wall surface and a modular composition that divides a space call for different solutions. Together, we can explore whether your project calls for adapting an existing design or developing a new one.

Built work: Mozz, Ankara

At Mozz, the brief called for a screen to reduce the draught reaching nearby tables when the door opened in cold weather, while preserving the light in the space. We designed and produced a wall of 173 interlocking ceramic pieces to enrich the restaurant's existing identity. Disassembly, reassembly and possible future reconfiguration were part of the design intent.

Joint prototypes led to the central design feature: bricks that interlock in three dimensions. Two main brick types mirror each other, with a separate type for the corners. The Mozz pieces were printed in Laguna granite stoneware and fired at 1280 °C; these specifications describe this particular project.

From digital form to fired ceramic

We print with clay. After printing, the pieces dry and are fired into ceramic. Digital geometry develops alongside the behaviour of the material, the traces of production and the connection details.

Samples and prototypes allow us to assess a form in the actual material. Decisions depend on texture, light and how the pieces come together, as well as the digital model.

Working with architects and project teams

We work with architects, interior designers, and hotel and restaurant teams. The first conversation establishes the space, the purpose of the wall and your design ambitions. Design development, prototyping and production are considered alongside installation and connection requirements.
